OUR STORY
Elevating pie, defying the odds
Square Pie Guys was born from a shared passion for perfecting pizza and sharing it with their community. Two guys set out to introduce Detroit-style pizza to the Bay Area.
From the early days of pop-up experimentation, crafting pies like "Don't Go Bacon My Heart" and "How Mush-room?" became a creative pursuit. With minimal staff, the two guys navigated the intricacies of pizza-making, transitioning from a beloved pop-up to an award-winning restaurant group.
Square Pie Guys' dream found a home at 1077 Mission Street, San Francisco. Bolstered by a supportive community and well-justified hype, the journey from pop-up to a full-fledged restaurant became a reality.
Leaving behind their previous careers, the two guys embraced the challenges and excitement of their culinary venture. Square Pie Guys owes its success to its strong team within the restaurants and the overwhelming love from the whole Bay Area.
More than a pizza joint,
Square Pie Guys pursues its mission through unforgettable food, strong community values and passionate service.
To be a Square means to embrace diverse tastes, foster connections, create lasting memories, and make the highest quality pie possible.
Pizza has the power to connect us all. Pizza is made for sharing, and our love for people and Pizza permeates every aspect of Square Pie Guys. Our place is yours, and we warmly welcome whoever shows up for a flavorful experience.
We take a community-centered approach to growing as a brand. Whether by supporting local organizations, sponsoring community events, or showing empathy and sharing meals with the locals in need, we are committed to making a meaningful difference in whatever city you find us.
OUR COMMUNITY
LEAVING A MARK ON THE COMMUNITIES WE SERVE.
Through local engagement, partnerships, and sustainable practices, we aim to contribute to the well-being and growth of each neighborhood we enter, leaving a lasting legacy of positivity. We believe in leaving places better than we found them.
We've proudly joined forces with organizations across the Bay and East Bay areas, turning every slice into a chance to give back and foster togetherness. From charity events that have the community buzzing to supporting local initiatives that warm our hearts, we're on a mission to spread joy, one square at a time.
Extra Life
Extra Life is a charity event where gamers team up to raise money for Children's Miracle Network Hospitals by streaming their games for 24 hours (or as long as they can manage). Players encourage friends, family, and followers to donate in support of kids facing serious illnesses. It’s a fun way to game for a great cause!
Kinda Funny Games generously donates 3% of the proceeds from each Buffalo Chicken Pie sold to Extra Life. Their support helps make a real difference for kids at hospitals such as the UCSF Children’s Benioff Hospital.
Greg Miller + Kinda Funny Games
Our two-time collaborator (and epic streamer/gamer) Greg Miller, along with his channel Kinda Funny Games, came back to help us bring back the fan-favorite Buffalo Chicken Pie!
Tastier than ever, we couldn’t resist re-running this crowd-pleaser for round two.
Wanna know the tastiest part? Every year, Kinda Funny Games joins forces with Extra Life to fundraise for UCSF Benioff Children’s Hospital. And for every Buffalo Chicken Pie sold, 3% will be donated to support their vital pediatric care and research!
