In the words of chef & author Samin Nosrat, βSALT, FAT, ACID...PIZZA!β
Fate had lined up this delicious collaboration. Marc Schechter and Nosratβs brother worked together at a startup during Schechterβs pre-pizzaiolo past life. Fast forward to 2021, and Schechter heard from Nosratβs brother saying she was a huge fan of Square Pie Guys.
The next day she followed Square Pie Guys on Instagram, creating much furor among the team. Marc reached out to Nosrat to gauge her interest in collaborating on a Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat-inspired pie for the Summer Menu and that marked the beginning of round one over three years ago. Skipping ahead to this summer, and we had to bring it back to celebrate our five-year business anniversary!

THE JLIN COLLABORATION IS BACK AGAIN, BUT THIS TIME WITH A LITTLE TWIST!
An exciting collaboration with Bay Area native and international sports star Jeremy Lin swooshes onto the menu again at Square Pie Guys. The idea began with Lin frequenting the restaurant pre-COVID, causing much excitement and curiosity amongst SPG team members. Upon his return from his most recent basketball season in China, Lin ordered Square Pie Guys multiple nights in a row with the same modification request.
Ordinarily, there is a no modifications policy at Square Pie Guys, but they couldnβt see their hometown hero, Jeremy Lin, unhappy. That's when the idea popped into Marc's head to collaborate with Lin and to put his signature pizza on the menu. It gets tastierβ5% of the sales will go to support the Jeremy Lin Foundation.

Our favorite collaborator of all time, Chef Samin Nosrat's pizza has all the elements: Salt, Fat, Acid and Heat. 5% of proceeds go to the Oakland International High School.
